By default it's all image based which is pretty prone to false alarms. That is probably just as well since Zoneminder motion detection is pretty hit and miss. Of course Zoneminder cannot trigger Abode alarms since there's no action for Abode to trigger an alarm in IFTTT. I will probably also hack a means to trigger individual camera recordings based on Abode sensor triggers. Then I created a script that can be called over the web to trigger these run states and used the IFTTT Maker Webhooks applet to set the appropriate run state based on Abode triggers. In "Alarm" state all cameras record continuously. Most cameras record on motion in "Away" state but only stream live in "Standby" state. I've created a run state corresponding to each alarm mode. In Zoneminder you can configure a set of "run states" in which the functionality of each camera can be set as appropriate for that run state. Instead I setup a Zoneminder system running on my home server. Obviously they don't integrate directly but that's fine because I don't like the idea of cloud video storage anyway.
